If you are still unsure why you are using an autoclave and not other equipment such as an electric oven for example, the following will be a watershed in its decision, the text will answer some frequently asked questions that our customers have (or rather had) before purchasing our equipment, such as:

What are the differences between an Autoclave and an Electric oven?
The best known sterilization equipment is autoclaves and electric oven, but we have to know the differences between the two. The electric oven acts through dry heat, while the autoclave acts through humid heat that involves heat, humidity and pressure. Another factor that differentiates the two equipment is their use, the autoclave because it has a safety system that deprives the user to open the door during the processes, guarantees the efficiency of the process, while the oven can and is commonly opened during the cycles, oftentimes to insert more materials to be sterilized.

What sterilization methods are indicated by ANVISA (Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency)?
According to ANVISA, a regulatory agency linked to the Ministry of Health, the equipment indicated for sterilization of all thermo-resistant articles, ie unaffected articles due to the high temperatures, it is the autoclave, while the electric ovens e are indicated for oils, powders and instrumental box. Regarding the sterilization techniques for surgical instruments, ANVISA recommends steam, hydrogen peroxide and ethylene oxide autoclaves.
The agency also points out that the use of formalin inhibits the validation of the process, and it is worth remembering that ANVISA does not have norms that indicate sterilization performed through pressure cookers and also by ultraviolet.

Why the preference in choosing an autoclave?
Autoclaves are validated and fully automated equipment, eliminating interruptions during the process and ensuring sterilization efficiency, as well as the drying system that some autoclaves have, which allows the sterilization of culture media.
In addition to all this, the autoclaves are very flexible in their applications, which can be in: surgical, veterinary and medical clinics, hospitals, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and chemical industries, laboratories and even manicures.
The autoclaves have several capacities, which allows you to meet any and every customer profile and need.
